AFA online calls for boycott of Citgo in response to Venezuela's dictator's vows to bring down U.S. government
American Family Association out of Tupelo, MS, is calling for a boycott of Citgo gas stations, in response to radical left anti-war activist, Cindy Sheehan's appearance on Chavez's TV station.
I'm glad to see AFA highlighting the threat from down South. For those of you who are a Federal Civilian, Postal or Military Employee, I have to repeat the AFA request to consider AFA (#2058) for your annual CFC participation.
Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience: "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century."Part of the email, AFA asked recipients to sign and send a letter to President Chavez himself, saying "Just a note to let you know that I will not be shopping at Citgo. I don't want my money going to someone who has vowed to bring down my government."
The guest on his television program beamed across Venezuela was Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world."
Chavez is pushing a socialist/communist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
